Overview
Guest Coach Private Lesson Slots let studios sell fixed private lesson times with a visiting coach during an event.
This is useful for workshops, intensives, showcases, competitions, and special guest coach weekends.
How it works
The studio creates a guest coach on the event, adds availability, and DanceFlow generates fixed bookable slots.
Dancers can select an available time from the public event page and pay to reserve the slot.
Add a guest coach
1. Open the event in your workspace.
2. Edit the event.
3. Find Guest Coach Private Lessons.
4. Add the coach name.
5. Optionally add a bio and photo URL.
Add availability
For each coach, add an availability block.
Include:
- Date
- Start time
- End time
- Lesson length
- Buffer time
- Price
- Location or room label
DanceFlow generates available slots from the block.
Public booking flow
On the public event page, dancers can:
1. View guest coaches.
2. Expand a coach to see available dates and times.
3. Select a time slot.
4. Enter buyer information.
5. Continue to payment.
Once payment is completed, the slot is booked and no longer appears as available.
Guest coach schedule link
Each guest coach can have a private read-only schedule link.
The coach can see:
- Event details
- Lesson times
- Booked student names
- Buyer notes
- Location or room
- Payment status
The coach does not receive full studio workspace access.
Best practice
Use payment required to reserve a slot. This prevents people from taking prime lesson times without committing.
