Overview
Partner Search helps dancers find other dancers who are looking for practice, social dance, showcase, or competition partners.
Partner Search is dancer-owned. A studio does not need to create the profile for the dancer.
Creating a dancer profile
Any logged-in DanceFlow account can create a Partner Search profile.
From the website, go to:
Account > Partner Search
From the student app, open:
Discover > Partners
Your profile can include:
- Display name
- Headline
- City and state
- Lead, follow, switch, or either role
- Skill level
- Dance style categories and individual dances
- One or more goals
- Bio
- Availability
- Profile photo in the mobile app
Goals are multi-select
A dancer can select more than one goal.
For example, someone may be open to:
- Practice
- Social
- Showcase
- Competition
Search filters also support multiple goals, so a dancer can look for people who match more than one intent.
Dance styles and categories
Dance styles use preset choices to reduce typos and search mismatches.
Dancers can select broad categories, individual dances, or both.
Examples:
- American Smooth
- American Rhythm
- International Ballroom
- International Latin
- Country
- Social / Club
- Country Two Step
- West Coast Swing
- Salsa
- Bachata
Profile visibility
Dancers can hide their Partner Search profile at any time.
Use this if:
- You found a partner
- You want to pause new requests
- You are not currently looking
Hidden profiles do not appear in public Partner Search results.
Safety and communication
Partner Search is intended for dancers looking for dance partners.
DanceFlow keeps communication inside the platform. Public lesson ads, coaching offers, paid service promotions, outside booking links, phone numbers, emails, and studio promotions are not allowed in Partner Search profiles.
