Creating a Marketing Campaign

Learn the basic steps for drafting, previewing, testing, and sending a DanceFlow marketing campaign.

Overview

Marketing campaigns help studios communicate with leads and clients from inside DanceFlow.

Campaigns can be used for:

  • Upcoming event announcements
  • Trial lesson follow-up
  • Inactive client outreach
  • Low package credit reminders
  • Class and workshop promotions

Basic campaign workflow

A simple campaign workflow is:

1. Open Marketing Campaigns.

2. Create a new campaign draft.

3. Choose the campaign audience.

4. Write the subject, preview text, and email body.

5. Preview the audience.

6. Send a test email.

7. Review the final confirmation details.

8. Send the campaign.

Audience preview

Before sending, review the audience preview.

This helps confirm the campaign is going to the right contacts.

Audience rules may include leads, clients, inactive clients, clients with no upcoming lesson, or clients with low package credits.

Test emails

Always send a test email before sending to the full audience.

Check:

  • Subject line
  • Preview text
  • Spacing and formatting
  • Links
  • Call to action
  • Footer information

Consent and unsubscribes

Only send marketing emails to contacts you are allowed to email.

DanceFlow can suppress unsubscribed contacts, but each studio is responsible for using marketing tools responsibly.

Marketing emails should include the studio's required footer information and a clear unsubscribe option.

Best practice

Keep campaigns focused.

A strong campaign usually has:

  • One main message
  • One clear call to action
  • A simple next step
  • A subject line that matches the email content
