Overview
Booking availability rules control what dates and times clients can request.
These rules help prevent unrealistic requests and make the booking request workflow easier for staff to manage.
What availability rules can control
Depending on your workspace settings, you may be able to configure:
- Requestable days of the week
- Earliest request time
- Latest request time
- Minimum notice
- How far ahead clients can request
- Bookable instructors
- Bookable lesson types
Public requests vs portal requests
Public intro booking rules are usually designed for new leads.
Portal schedule request rules are designed for existing clients.
Your studio may choose to allow one, both, or neither.
Request-based scheduling
Availability rules do not automatically create appointments. They guide the request process and help staff review better requests.
Best practice
Start with conservative windows. For example, allow requests during your normal front desk hours or high-availability teaching blocks. Expand the request window after your team is comfortable with the workflow.
